Aleatha Parker-Wood completed her Ph.D. in 2013, studying scalable file system search under Professor Darrell Long. Her research includes work on characterizing and indexing scientific metadata, predicting accesses using rich metadata, and non-hierarchical file systems.
She graduated from UC Santa Cruz in 2008 with a B.S. in Computer Science and received her M.S. in 2010. She was also affiliated with the Conservatoire National Des Arts et Metiers in Paris.
